Larp for Organisers & Designers, Players, Anyone interested in the subject
In this freeform LARP, nine teenagers from a border city in Mexico celebrate their last night of high school with a secret party, in spite of the drug war that has impacted their lives. Together, they deal with the mental whiplash of planning their futures while coping with the effects of the violence that took their city hostage.
It is suggested that participants dress like awkward teenagers. The game has the light to moderate movement of milling about at a house party. The game has a mechanic to simulate PTSD-related hypervigilance.
❤ Reventón counters the glamourized media narrative of the drug war by presenting the experience of the everyday citizens affected by it.
